Heihito Toyo is a history teacher at Mishitosha High School. He is known among his peers as the fallen prodigy. He was once destined to be a great student, a prodigy, but those expectations and the pressure of his life got the better of him. He fell into a deep depression following the breakup of his longtime girlfriend and then the death of his father. When he was at his lowest point two people brought him back from the darkness, his high school friend Mr. Mishitosha and the world renown professional wrestler the Great Kanme.

Morai Aoki is the kind of person who is best defined as someone who just blends into the background. He rarely questions authority and goes with the flow. He’s very meek and is afraid to stand up for himself. This attitude makes him a prime target for the bullies at Mishitosha High School. Morai is not completely alone at school, he is with his childhood friend Sushimi. He secretly has a crush on her but can’t muster up the courage to tell her. That’s not the only secret he holds close to his chest, it’s one that his parents do not approve of, beatboxing. They want him to pursue a career in computer technology and be an obedient son but deep down it’s the only time he’s ever felt the urge to resist.

Janto was able to defend her from the bullies and from that moment on their friendship blossomed. They made an oath to protect and help each no matter what comes their way. The two friends have been inseparable since that day and are rarely apart from one another. Mimi and her best friend are ready to take on the next step of their lives, High School, and they’ll do it together.

As time passed Janto was shocked that he didn’t care about the famous Kanme Power couple. Taka thought Janto was a fun and cool person to hang out with and that resonated with Janto. The two have been friends ever since even though Mimi isn’t particularly fond of him because of his perverted ways and the fact that he and Janto enjoy trolling others online. Taka will stand by his friend as they journey through the ups, downs and crazy adventures that await them.

Richard “Mr. Royce” Huffington has lived a very quiet and secluded life. His family ran a small wrestling promotion where he helped out and was trained to become one. One day he was caught kissing with another boy and was basically thrown out from his home. Upon his many travels he ended up meeting Hirito Kanme. Kanme suggested to his boss they should take him along on their wrestling tour and they did. Richard soon bonded with his fellow wrestlers and they could care less which way he swung as long as he did his job. Luckily for everyone, he enjoys playing his rich pompous character and relishes the boos of the crowd.

El Tigre Maximum hails from Chihuahua, Mexico and is a practitioner of the Luchador style of wrestling. Not much is known about the person, as he swore to keep his identity a secret, but as a young boy he was always very fond of two things in his life, wrestling and Japanese anime. He would watch both on his television and dreamed one day he would become a luchadore and travel to Japan. While on tour he met the Great Kanme and asked if he could help him travel to Japan and wrestle there. Kanme was extremely impressed by his ability to not only wrestle but speak Japanese, so he agreed to help him travel to Japan and wrestle in Kanme’s new Pro Muscle Fire wrestling promotion. When he isn’t wrestling he’s nerding out and competing in the Great Ninja Challenge Show.

Some say he’s just a regular salary man amongst the mob, while others speculate he goes to his evil metal lair to rock out and a few say he’s just some bookworm working at a library. Hirito Kanme was an orphaned child and he spent most of his youth growing up at an orphanage. A wrestler named the Ivory Tiger would show up occasionally to read and spend time with the orphans. Ivory Tiger too was once an orphan and Kanme saw something in common with him. One day Kanme asked if he could go with him and train to be a wrestler and Ivory Tiger declined his request, but every time he would show up Kanme would ask him. Eventually he relented and took the young man under his wing. From that moment on Kanme’s star rose and he became a great and legendary wrestler known around the world. Nowadays Kanme is retired and manages his own wrestling league with a few of his old buddies. He prefers to be a homebody who prefers to just watch tv and avoid his rabid fans. One may wonder why he changed his name from Kaname to Kanme and it’s simply because he wanted to be different from everyone else, he didn’t want to carry on the name of his family that abandoned him at the orphanage, and lastly because the American wrestling booker he worked for never pronounced it right.

Even through her tough exterior Yuki has two loves in her life: animals and volleyball. She would spend hours watching the Volleyball star Katherine Amber. Yuki swore to herself that one day she would be a volleyball star like her idol no matter how hard she had to work at it.

Maki and Sakai Iwasaki are fraternal twins; Maki is the oldest of the twins by a couple of minutes. The two siblings are inseparable and normally finish each other's sentences or thoughts. Unlike other twins who try to stand out from one another they are comfortable looking almost like. At a young age they watched Kana Kanme on the Iron Wok and her cooking show, “Cooking with Kana”. Kana became someone the twins both ended up idolizing. They’ve tried their hand with cooking, even though they’re not good at it, and to create a tv show like their idol by using their phones to record. They upload the videos online where they have a modest following.

Kana Kanme is a world renowned celebrity chef and the other half of the Kanme power couple. Out of the two Kanmes she is the most famous and popular. Kana is a household name mainly due to her Mama Kana food brand and her cooking shows “Cooking with Kana Kanme'' and “Chef Duel”. When she was younger she was trained by her mother in hopes she would become “a cook that’s worth a damn”. Her mother’s efforts paid off when the young Kana competed in the Iron Wok competition and won it for 10 consecutive years. From that decade of dominance she gained the moniker of chef of the Rising Sun and many people around the world idolized her. During that 10 year time period she met her future husband catering one of his wrestling events and the two hit it off. When they married Kana settled down for a short time but she was soon back at it, afterall she has a food empire to maintain.

Kendo Ito was once one of the top chefs of Japan. He had a passion and talent for cooking and he thought nobody could match his culinary prowess. He was the first, second and third Iron Wok champion and his hubris grew tenfold. When it came time to defend his title a fourth time he thought the competition would be another easy win but instead he met his match. In the finals Kendo faced off against Kana's team and felt the bitter taste of defeat. Kendo was furious at the loss and over the next 10 years tried to beat her, but no matter what he did he couldn’t. Eventually he fell into obscurity while Kana rose to the top. Since that horrid time in his life he has been known as “Kana’s punching bag”. He currently works as the head chef at Mishitosha High School where he can hide and creep on the female students and teachers.
