What’s Kanme reading? Posted every Wednesday Team Kanme Creatives team is here to get you over the weekday blues because we all love comics! It’s true! And we really love Indie comics. Indies offer the most diverse and fearless storytelling among comics, why? Because we can! We are always inspired by the community around us and we want to start recognizing the comics we love to read.
Every week we’re going to recommend comics we are reading to you.
Our first recommendation from the Team Kanme is:
Inhuman Files Creator : Dumbbug101
What we know: All the comics I made relating to my inhuman characters.
What we love: This comic has promise, it just needs a little work. The snipets start to tell a story but then it’s not addressed again whicih can be a little frustrating as a reader. That said, the Creator puts a lot of effort into their comic and it makes them happy to create it regularly for readers. I read this on Webtoon.
Gavactik Squad Creator: Rak Tales
What we know: Gavactik Squad is a superhero sci-fi action series about a rising team facing deadly threats, powerful villains, and a world on the edge of chaos.
What we love: This is an action packed first 4 comic issues but it has you at the edge of your seat the whole time. Great art, gripping story fantastic alien designs. I enjoyed this comic on GlobalComix add it to your library!
Ace of Hearts Creator :Studio Cwedol
What we know: Ace of Hearts – I Pity the Fool follows 17-year-old high schooler Leo Hartmann as he grapples with self-doubt, judgment, unsatisfactory friendships, and an uncertain future, leading him to reach groundbreaking conclusions about himself.
What we love: It appears to be a traditionally drawn comic that’s been scanned. But it’s clear easy to read and the lettering is clean. Based on a graphic novel, work on by a team, each member has their part and has done it well and locks together nicely. There’s lots to read of this high school drama, if you like Black and white manga set in a school check this out, I read it on Webtoon!
Animalia Heights Creator :Teb Speaks
What we know: Follow private investigator, Koray Koltrane as he roams his crime ridden, concrete jungle he calls home. ONESHOT for my main Manga, ANIMALIA HEIGHTS.
What we love: This is a quick read one shot with great promise from this Creator. Great art, and an interesting enough story to keep you wanting to read more. Check it out on NamiComi!
