What’s Kanme reading? Posted every Wednesday Team Kanme Creatives team is here to get you over the weekday blues because we all love comics! It’s true! And we really love Indie comics. Indies offer the most diverse and fearless storytelling among comics, why? Because we can! We are always inspired by the community around us and we want to start recognising the comics we love to read.
Every week we’re going to recommend comics we are reading to you.
Our first recommendation from the Team Kanme is:
Pickle Pie Creator: Lolrules25
What we know: The ordinary life of a sentient pickle and the odd friends they make along the way.
What we love: A cute, weird and wonderful little comic, very Alt Comix style art with surreal stories and silly jokes. Looks like the Creator is working on a game but will return to regular posting. I read this on webtoon!
Otherkin Creator: Mother’s Touch Studios

What we know: What if there is a reason we fear the dark? What if the shadows do indeed shelter dark forces? What if there’s more to life than the soul-crushing weight of the mundane? These questions led Alex to answers they never expected to find. Now, forever changed, they hunt for an evil that chose London as its nest. Alone, clueless, and way in over their head, Alex must figure out how to make amends for their past mistakes, using their unlikely abilities to make a difference.
What we love: Very cool supernatural story and professional artsyle. The color pallet reminds me of League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, or Hell Boy, its a really good read. My Main Character Syndrome Creator: Rei Tian
What we know: Attractive and affluent, Danica has everything—except, she can only interact with people through online platforms and never in-person. One day, a stranger, Linus, falls from the sky, revealing that a parallel world exists. As Linus seeks to return to his own world, Danica’s world starts to become…a lot less empty.
What we love: Neat concept taking on the subject of influencers, and romance. No matter how high the follower count is, it can be a big empty, isolated world when you only interact through social media. The art and story are great, while it’s on hiatus the Creator says they will be back soon.
Fatson Todd Kills the DC Universe Creator: Thecozmikcollector
What we know: FATSON TODD IS HERE AND HE’S ANGRY!!! After being turned into the mega-viral fan favorite obtuse plushie sensation Fatson Todd by his own fifth-dimensional imp, Jason sets out on a bloody mission of vengeance in hopes of turning back to his old self. His first pit stop is The Joker but after that… is the WHOLE DC UNIVERSE!!! Written by thecozmikcollector Art, Colors, & Letters by Bishop Hilton
What we love: I’ve been on the Fatson Todd bandwagon since first laying eyes on him, I’ve even put him in cameos in my comic American Prince Divinity. I saw this parody comic and had to read it, it’s a silly fascinating comedic look at the DC universe with our fav disgruntled vigilante Red Hood is turned into his plushie alter ego thanks to his very own Imp (the imp stuff always was weird to me, glad someone said something!) but at least as Fatson Todd he finally gets the chance to get revenge on The Joker.
