What’s Kanme reading? Posted every Wednesday Team Kanme Creatives team is here to get you over the weekday blues because we all love comics! It’s true! And we really love Indie comics. Indies offer the most diverse and fearless storytelling among comics, why? Because we can! We are always inspired by the community around us and we want to start recognizing the comics we love to read.

The Sun is the Moon’s Dream Creator : Hana-nana
What we know : 1999, Canada. When Minah moves around the world to live with her aunt in a small town at the end of the train line, she just wants to get her GED, erase her past, and never return home. But the town is full of old families, and secrets, and strange and charming men with glowing eyes who never walk beneath the sun – and they are more than willing to ensure she never goes home again, with only a small, tiny price to pay for their devotion.
What we Love : This a wonder comic, great art style, absolutely get over there and sub and I heard this supernatural comic has a Halloween special episode coming !
Moonborn Creator : Mat Campos
What we know: After the death of his mom, Edgar‘s life is thrown off balance. He is forced to move to his distant family’s house, where he’ll find out the truth about his family and uncover secrets about himself that he never knew.
What we love: While not a Halloween special, I added this comic to the blog since it is a fantastic LGBTQA horror comic!! I found on GlobalComix on their Halloween list and it’s perfect for some Halloween treat yourself reading!
Swallow Creator : Yeerin
What we know: After killing his brilliant best friend, Adrian seizes the chance to take over his life—along with its many coveted perks and relationships. But, he comes to realize that dressing in another man’s skin comes with some ravenous consequences.
What we Love: Another tasty wt Halloween special treat! While this is for young adults the art and character designs are utterly scrumptious, this comic is both searing hot and mysterious, seriously needs lots of subs! Go to WT!
No Second Chances Creator Spacecookzie
What we Know: After a powerful storm causes her sudden demise, Tsuneo is brought back to the land of living. Her saviour is a mysterious Witch living in a lonesome part of the forest as she tends to her wounds with a type of magic never seen by the student before. However, despite her strong reassurance, bizarre things start to happen around Tsuneo as she finds herself in a cruel paradox between a new life and an overdue death.
What we Love: Not a Halloween Special but this horror story of a Witch is not a trick! Nothing but a sweet treat! Beautifully drawn and captivating. I read it on NamiComi!
Memento Mori Creator : Francis- Mamgain
What we know: Bernadette just wanted to work on her book in peace but fate had other plans. Her new cottage is haunted by a very inconsiderate ghost. In an attempt to rid herself of this supernatural tormentor, she teams up with a local wizard and a medium who may not be what he seems. But things go wrong. Very wrong. And unfortunately, Death noticed.
What we Like: Great Aesthetic, If Tim Burton drew comics this would be his right up his alley. The colors, the art design, the writing, it’s all pretty epic Halloween fun. And yes, it needs way more subs, you can sleep on November 1st but don’t sleep on this comic. Head to wt !!
