Hey, what’s Kanme reading?
Wednesday 05/06/2026
This week I was busy with training a new member on my shift, so I have a couple of comics for you, more comics next week!
What’s Kanme reading? Posted every Wednesday Team Kanme Creatives team is here to get you over the weekday blues because we all love comics! It’s true! And we really love Indie comics. Indies offer the most diverse and fearless storytelling among comics, why? Because we can! We are always inspired by the community around us and we want to start recognising the comics we love to read.
Every week we’re going to recommend comics we are reading to you.
Our first recommendation from the Team Kanme is:

The Ace of The Spades Creator :Mira Kira & Mack Haim
What we know: Dio Javier comes to Glade City to start a normal-ish life with his baby son Rio, all the while being haunted by the insatiable desires of the murderous demon who possesses him. He eventually finds solace in joining a special ops group known as The Spades. But this new-found family has secrets darker than any single demon.
What we love: I started reading this because the premises seemed really cool, and I was right! This is a really cool comic, it starts out black and white with grey tones and moves towards color, Color makes it even more fantastic! The art and story shine, it’s funny, gory and action packed. Monsters and Mobsters is a good way to describe it; I read the whole collection on GlobalComix!

Rigor Amortis Creator : binsleepi
What we know: During the aftermath of the zombie apocalypse, Elise Novak defies death to resurrect her late husband, Aimé Novak. As he struggles to reclaim his humanity, his growing suspicion that she’s hiding a dark secret threatens to destroy them faster than the apocalypse ever could.
What we love: This is a brand-new comic, posted last week, but BOY is it outstanding! The storytelling is great and does exactly some of the things I love to talk about in drawing comics. Body language, facial expressions, telling a story without words! One reader said the opening was “quiet” and that is true, the stillness allowed the emotion to flow. Well done! You’ve got to read this on Webtoon!
Thank you for reading! Send me your comics!
