Hey, what’s Kanme reading?
Wednesday 06/24/2026
This week I added a new platform to review comics from Inkstra.
What’s Kanme reading? Posted every Wednesday Team Kanme Creatives team is here to get you over the weekday blues because we all love comics! It’s true! And we really love Indie comics. Indies offer the most diverse and fearless storytelling among comics, why? Because we can! We are always inspired by the community around us and we want to start recognising the comics we love to read.
Every week we’re going to recommend comics we are reading to you.
Our first recommendation from the Team Kanme is:
The Alchemist Bride Creator: the alchemistbride.
What we know: Vanyesa Ostafa is a burgeoning alchemist working on a top secret serum to combat the rising undead crisis. When a mysterious man from a rival nation proposes a partnership, she flees town, intent on protecting her intellectual property. But a man with his resources is never far behind…
What we love: Well, this comic is a fun ride! Part steampunk adventure, part fantasy, part zombie apocalypse, and 1930s swashbuckling romance! The lovely art is easy on the eyes, with a French grey color palette that I absolutely love. I was captivated from start to finish; it’s a fantastic read that updates regularly! Head to WT and help get this comic to its first 100 subscribers!

First- degree Sorcery Creator : AntoScrujo
What we know: Alph is a young, aspiring alchemist living in Blackberry Village, all his life he’s wanted to become a real wizard. Since he was a child, he’s looked up to Zandir and Ojas, two experienced wizards who have protected Blackberry Village for many years. Suddenly, they announce their departure to take down an evil underground connection of wizarding cults across the globe that the public does not know about. Alph meets them and joins them on their epic wizarding journey in FIRST-DEGREE SORCERY!
What we love: I added this comic to my library shelf on GlobalComix because the writing and art are genuinely funny and work so well together. I binged all five releases because I couldn’t stop reading and had such a great time. I hope this comic gets the attention it deserves, so head over to GlobalComix, add it to your shelf, and check it out!

ImpTown Creator: TheFrizing
What we know: Against his will, Vortex enrolls at the local Ascension Academy – an institution that activates young imps’ powers and teaches them how to become powerful demons. Here, he must tackle his unexplored potential, his bully of a roommate and the dangers of navigating into demonhood.
What we love: This comic came recommended on Discord. It offers a clever twist on the magic school/academy concept. The art is clean and polished, and storytelling is genuinely engaging. It could easily become your new favorite comic on NamiComi! So head over and follow, hit those hearts!

Zombies and Dragons Creator : JJSpitz
What we know: Zombies and Dragons follows a group of adventurers forced together by a zombie plague. Join them as they try to figure out what is going on and how to survive. Episodes are released every other Wednesday at 8pm EST.
What we love: A zombie apocalypse in a fantasy setting feels utterly fresh and creative. Has anyone thought of this before? I don’t think so! Even though zombies usually freak me out, I found myself binge-reading episodes just to see what happened next and now I’m stuck waiting for the next one! I found this comic on Inkstra, a new platform worth checking out. It also offers monetization options for creators, so the more readers who join, the better it is for the Creators.
Thanks for reading! Send me your comics!
