Hey, what’s Kanme reading?
Wednesday 11/4/2026
I almost didn’t get this done I was so obsessed with Election night results all night ! YAY Blue Wave!
What’s Kanme reading? Posted every Wednesday Team Kanme Creatives team is here to get you over the weekday blues because we all love comics! It’s true! And we really love Indie comics. Indies offer the most diverse and fearless storytelling among comics, why? Because we can! We are always inspired by the community around us and we want to start recognizing the comics we love to read.
Every week we’re going to recommend comics we are reading to you.
DEEPSTATES Creator: wollymight
What we know: A secret government agency creates Mac, an intensely psychic woman with the ability to alter time itself. Weirdo goddess Eris teases Mac from a distance as she finds herself ready to throw one hell of an apple. Together they must confront shadowy conspiracies at the fine line between fate and free will.
What we love: This fun comic won me over instantly with its quirky artwork, and the almost pop-art style colors and the humorous moments weaving in and out of the storytelling. It needs more subs! I read it on WT.
Lightening Ferret Creator : Briarhide Illustration
What we know: With her slapdash attitude, foolish antics and insatiable greed for jam sandwiches, Lightning Ferret is an unlikely heroine at best. But when trees disappear from the peaceful woodland town of Maple Meadows, desperate times call for desperate measures…and only the most fearless of ferrets. Accompanied by her long-suffering ally Silas the fox, can Lightning Ferret prove herself worthy in the eyes of the townsfolk and save their home from destruction…or fail to exceed even Mayor Twohoots’ expectations? For justice to prevail…she’s gotta go fer-ret.
What we love: With its cozy, adorable artwork, and fun storytelling, this graphic novel feels almost like a storybook. It’s released one page at a time, and the first 41 pages are available now. I discovered this little gem on GlobalComix check it out.
Hellsing Academy Creator: SquibyPlaya
What we know: Welcome to Hellsing Academy! Where the staff and students are as quirky as the school they go to! Join Aiden the brand new archeology and anthropology teacher as he navigates being a teacher and the school’s ancient relic caretaker. Hopefully he can keep it all together without things or students getting out of hand. UPDATES EVERY WEDNEDAY AND SUNDAY Also join
What we love: The intriguing concept and lineless 3D artwork give this comic the feel of an animation or game. The unconventional lettering can be hard to read at times, for my eyes, but overall, it’s a good comic that deserves more love and subs! I read it on WT.
White Swan VerityxMob (English version) Creator : Kuruub
What we know: A story about desire, secrets, and the fine line between control and vulnerability.
When Verity and Mob’s paths cross, a relationship shaped by their differences begins to take form. Beneath the surface, both conceal sides of themselves that could change the way they see each other. Amid tension, conflict, and feelings too complicated to put into words, what begins as a simple encounter evolves into something far more complex than either of them could have ever anticipated.
What we love: This BL caught my attention on Inkstra with its unusual black-and-white artwork and touches of color. That distinctive style is a big part of its appeal for me and drew me to the comic initially. The creator has just uploaded the first three episodes, and I’m eager to read more. Head over and check out Inkstra , I have been finding a lot of interesting comics there.
Thanks for reading!
