What’s Kanme reading? Posted every Wednesday Team Kanme Creatives team is here to get you over the weekday blues because we all love comics! It’s true! And we really love Indie comics. Indies offer the most diverse and fearless storytelling among comics, why? Because we can! We are always inspired by the community around us and we want to start recognizing the comics we love to read.
Every week we’re going to recommend comics we are reading to you.
Our first recommendation from the Team Kanme is:
DEA: Lux Fati Creator : Tortuga_art123
What we know: This is a story of a girl whose life falls apart drastically. Not only does she awaken an ancient evil, but the ability to do magic. Now she and her brother shall travel and learn how to use her magic and more things such as history, other cultures, communication… in order to stop that evil power. This story contains violence, cursing, and other delicate subjects.
What we love: I was surprised this comic was written by someone so young, it’s very clever and it has mystery, magic and tragedy. Oddly enough the part that got to me the most was a sad little yam-like creature crying like a toddler to the wizard like Rod.
With all the danger and sadness in the first 3 chapters this little guy melted my vampire heart. You can sub on webtoon!

Freakshow Creator: Scotty’s comics
What we know: A show on the outskirts of Paris and on its last legs. An old woman’s murder starts a spree of disappearances around the area. All eyes are on one suspect, Christophe Edith.
What we love: Another WOW comic moment for me! Freakshow is an outstanding comic, the art is brilliant and the story is perfection. I came across it while looking for new comics to read on NamiComi. Freakshow should be everyone’s new favorite, there is so much to read, so head over to NamiComi and support this comic.
Stupid Love Creator : Mares:)
What we know: Alex thinks that romantic love is problematic, however, one day he falls in love at first sight with a boy named Leo who attends his school. It is when he discovers that being in love can make him do and accept all kinds of foolishness. Like when he agrees to help Leo win back his girlfriend
What we love: It’s a cute comic about unrequited love and romantic teenage schemes and perfect for young adult BL. The art is well done, and seems to get stronger with each episode. I hope the Boys get together in the future! Looks like it updates often, check it out on webtoon!
Quiver Creator : Rodan
What we know: In the great city of Batavia, a young man with the body of a cyborg fights for balance between two jobs: an ordinary webtoon writer and an anonymous vigilante. While he only wants a normal life and writes cool stories, everyone in his life keeps yapping about responsibility this, or greater good that. Now, how to meet his webtoon deadlines with all these unimportant problems in his life??
What we love: This was very well done, and I love the fact it has comic creators as OCs in this sci-fi comic. Attractive , clean art and action packed storyline . It just got started on inkverse and you can read the first 3 episodes.
