What’s Kanme reading? Posted every Wednesday Team Kanme Creatives team is here to get you over the weekday blues because we all love comics! It’s true! And we really love Indie comics. Indies offer the most diverse and fearless storytelling among comics, why? Because we can! We are always inspired by the community around us and we want to start recognising the comics we love to read.
Every week we’re going to recommend comics we are reading to you.
Our first recommendation from the Team Kanme is:
Soul Rebellion Creator : Shentheblackdeath
What we know: After traveling the world, Shen returns to Chong Do, hoping to have a normal life. Unfortunately, an international terrorist known as Ryu the Grim Reaper, throws his world into chaos. Ryu has just killed several presidents and kings of other nations and now has his sights set on Chong Do. He states that he intends to cleanse Chong Do of its filth, and that one man will signal the beginning of his culling. That man is none other than Shen the Black Death.
What we love: While there is a lot to read, the Creator is revamping chapter 6 with a better art style, so you can sub and catch the new stuff and while you wait you can catch up that’s what I did. Character designs are good and memorable, even with the improvements the style just got better, the story is a fascinating one, now not to be political but some of us wouldn’t mind a Ryu the Grim Reaper doing as little work here in our world, but then again, he probably lives in a nicer world than we do right now. Private eyes Creator : PKSComix
What we know: The Private Eyes series will tell the story of three private investigators who fight to solve crimes and corruption in the city of Krellton.The City of Krellton will tell the story of three private eyes (Motopelier Catty, Lego Rossis, and Doreen Dempsey) who investigate crimes in a corrupt city for a mayor who himself may be corrupt. There are also other outside forces that are coming to seize control of a city and a police force that is split down the middle between good and evil.
What we love: This is a paid comic so gold members can read the whole thing. I was able to read the first 10 free pages. Preview pages still pay the Creator, so if you have a chance to read this comic even free preview pages help. From what I read this was a gripping PI story with an old school feel. I loved reading Raymond Chandler novels, so I felt that vibe here in the storytelling. Anthropomorphic style OCs character designs, the vivid color artwork and lettering are great, and it feels like an Alt Comic and I love Alt Comics as they, like this comic, play by their own rules and put a lot of heart and soul into their creation that others won’t, it’s the ultimate artistic freedom. Oath Breaker Creator : Sargent_rosie
What we know: Kieran’s world is shaken after a harrowing mission that left his grandmother and friends dead. He sacrifices his honor, faith, and even his soul to protect his sister from a similar fate. Years later, she’s taken by a mysterious cult and he is stricken with a curse that will slowly kill him. Haunted by his past, he risks everything to find her, even if it means losing himself in the process. Will he be able to save her before the price of his choices destroys them both?
What we love: A well done fantasy comic that gets you and holds on to you from the first panel to the last! Magic, mystery and drama, combined with the on point art style and color palette makes this one a can’t miss, go to wt and give this hidden gem a sub!
The Coretan Times Creator : The Corentan times

What we know: As the end of times is heralded, the Coretans must stop a mysterious abduction ring, fight terrorists, and restore political order across all Lifekind. In this first chapter, Venn and Ulys prepare to visit the city of Bionity with their master to attend the Coretan graduation ceremony. Meanwhile, reputable author Ory Mirro, attempts to gain access to the next Assembly of the world leaders, set to also take place in her city.
What we love: This is a paid comic too so gold members can read the whole thing. I was able to read the first 10 free pages. The team behind this comic has created something cool, the art is striking, absolutely outstanding, again, from what I could read the story telling seemed strong, all in all this it looks like a really great apocalyptic comic.
