What’s Kanme reading? Posted every Wednesday Team Kanme Creatives team is here to get you over the weekday blues because we all love comics! It’s true! And we really love Indie comics. Indies offer the most diverse and fearless storytelling among comics, why? Because we can! We are always inspired by the community around us and we want to start recognising the comics we love to read.
Every week we’re going to recommend comics we are reading to you.
This week it’s all Comedies!
Our first recommendation from the Team Kanme is:
World of Magnificence Creator : Garret Herder
What we know : An anthology of comedic and absurd short stories taking place within the World of Magnificence.
What we love : What can I say about this comic? It’s Funny, weird, philosophical and an awesome alt comic comedy! If you love the surreal and absurd, check out this comic on webtoon.
Bitter Soul Creator: TheStarfishKing
What we know : A One-Shot about a tired man drinking coffee and a demon with terrible aim. Written By: Enrique Rosado Art by: Rickeda Rosado
What we love : staying on the theme of demonic comedy I found this comic as recommended byGlobal Comix. It’s a short one shot about a man, a talking demonic coffee bean and his soul. It is both funny and poignant, It’s worth your time to check it out. The are and story is lovely.
We Are Expecting (An Apocalypse)!
What we know : It’s a girl! No, it’s a boy! NO. It’s a harbinger of doom prophesied to bring forth the end of times for humanity! Ethel and Wayne may be from different covens and hate each other’s guts, but a stray spell has tied them together, placing them in the same sinking boat. Will they be able to prevent the end of times, or will this ordeal be too much for the unfortunate duo?
What we love : This comic has magic, mystery and an evil baby in Guy’s liver! Clever, and crazy this is another off the wall comedy that has tons of promise. The art style is unique and pairs well with the story, a perfect match! I read it on webtoon!
Death’s Domain Creator : Speedcore Demon
What we know : When an unlucky young man named Adam dies, he’s offered the chance to become a grim reaper. But in the realm of Death’s Domain, being a reaper is a 9-to-5 office job! This isn’t a slice of life, it’s a slice of death~!
What we love : Staying yet again with supernatural comedy, I found this cute, dark humor comedy on NamiComi and just fell in love with it. Cute art puts the fun in funeral ! It’s truly a “slice of death” and I can’t wait for more issues to be released. Read it on NamiComi you won’t be disappointed.
