Hey, what’s Kanme reading?

Wednesday 06/10/2026

This week’s comics are amazing little gems that need more love and  subscribers!!

What’s Kanme reading? Posted every Wednesday Team Kanme Creatives team is here to get you over the weekday blues because we all  love comics! It’s true! And we really love Indie comics. Indies offer the most diverse and fearless storytelling among comics, why? Because we can! We are always inspired by the community around us and we want to start recognizing the comics we love to read.

Every week we’re going to recommend comics we are reading to you.

Our first recommendation from the Team Kanme is:

 Beyond the Light Creator: StarG.

Beyond the Light

What we know:  In a world protected by the eyes of gods, peace was eternal. That is until beings known as Soulless were released by humans. Sealed away for their crime, humans remain indefinitely imprisoned in isolation. But what happens when they’re presented with a daring way out? Become Soulless Hunters and defeat the very creatures that they helped create. Seeing the surface world is what Comett and Jason Kay long for, but discovering the truth of Lagom’s past and present will be their true test of freedom.

What we love: This comic opens like how I try to teach new comic creators: Start in the middle of something, an action scene, a conversation, even if we don’t know just yet what is happening it feels like the comic flows right in lets the reader jump in and learn about the world way more naturally than a lot of lore. It’s my fav way to be immersed into the world of a comic. The storytelling provides plenty of room for mystery, allowing for a natural plot flow that makes this comic an absolute treat to read. Visually, the art style is awesome, I especially love the color palette and the magic effects. Even though the comic is brand new, it already has plenty of episodes available to binge right away. Head over to Webtoon and sub now!

Kerpow! Creator : Left Hook Print.

Kerpow!

What we know: The traumatized son of a crime kingpin teams up with a murdered sidekick to attempt a take down of his father’s criminal empire. Synopsis: Brand new series for fans of Wanted & Kick-Ass! After witnessing his father, a low-level henchman, accidentally kill the world’s greatest hero and sidekick duo, young Jacob grows up traumatized and scarred. Years later, following a failed assassination attempt on his father, Jacob is almost killed. Waking up in hospital, Jacob finds he is now haunted by an impossible apparition – the murdered sidekick. Together they will attempt to bring down his father’s criminal empire.

What we love: Holy cow! I just finished this amazing indie comic and I’m blown away. The gripping story, flawless artwork, and professional lettering make it look like a mainline DC or Image book, but it’s completely free! Every single panel is perfect. It deserves way more subscribers. If you love superhero comics, do yourself a favor and check it out!

 ETERNA Creator: Narumimie

ETERNA

What we know:  In a land where vampires reign, Riku Asra, a half-elf night hunter, has dedicated his life to the eradication of the night creatures. One fateful meeting, he crosses paths with a face he swore he’d forgotten… a face that once meant the world, one from his buried past that still haunts his dreams, now bearing fangs. Duty and desire collide. Will he bury the past and fulfill his bloody duty, or will he surrender to the very darkness he’s hunted for centuries? Updates on the 1st and 15th.

What we love: It’s my week for finding awesome comics to read! Recommended to me on Reddit, this vampire comic grabs you instantly and does not let go. The dark, mysterious storytelling is perfectly complemented by the gorgeous art style. This is definitely another hidden gem that deserves way more subscribers! I highly recommend heading over to Webtoon to check it out for yourself.

 Reaping Lies Creator:  Par0day

Reaping Lies

What we know:  Can something dead be alive? Hajun died five years ago, but something kept him alive, something that turned him into more of a monster than he already was; a Chimera. And monsters either die or are put to use, in his case, it was blackmail. Forced to solve supernatural crimes and be an errand dog to a particular doctor, Hajun will need to navigate this steampunk world of horrors and a web of lies to get to the bottom of what he really is, and why.

What we love: This was an outstanding opening episode! I’ve been talking to this Creator on reddit, so I was happy to see the comic make its debut on NamiComi this week. The art is exceptionally well-done, paired with a story that is both intriguing and wonderfully surreal. That surrealism is exactly what hooked me the most. Please consider subscribing to help them out on NamiComi which is, by the way, an excellent platform for elevating smaller creators!

Thank you for reading! Send me your comics!!
