What’s Kanme reading? Posted every Wednesday Team Kanme Creatives team is here to get you over the weekday blues because we all love comics! It’s true! And we really love Indie comics. Indies offer the most diverse and fearless storytelling among comics, why? Because we can! We are always inspired by the community around us and we want to start recognizing the comics we love to read.
Every week we’re going to recommend comics we are reading to you.
Our first recommendation from the Team Kanme is:
Millennial Scarlet Creator : ssandulak
What we know : Lamont “Lamb” Pearce is a down-on-his-luck millennial demon hunter living in the shadow of his famous father. The world is broken and in chaos, is the end nigh?
What we love : Another new comic that we think needs to be seen. The caliber of art is absolutely pro from start to finish as this comic bridges the gap of Webtoon and Western comics. The story draws you in, if you like action- horror it’s a must read. Sub at Webtoon!
Juno Creator : Luis Reborn
What we know : Created by a Brazilian artist who is venturing into comics, he hopes we all get inspired by Juno.
What we love : This comic has just started but the art is incredible. I look forward to reading more future episodes to see what this story is all about. You can get started on inkverse.
Zombies, Run! Creator : Morbid Macaroni
What we know : Slice of life doodles by Your friendly neighborhood runner 5 just doodling moments from the game/fitness app – Zombies, Run!
What we love : This comic caught my eye on Reddit, while not really knowing about the fitness game it was based on, it was still an enjoyable a fun little read with lots of episodes. RUN over to webtoon and check it out! Also check out the Zombies RUN! game as it looks like it makes exercise a little more fun.
Behold the Scruffs Creator : Behold the scruffs
What we know :Zeus has a big imagination for a little cat.
What we love: It was recommended to me by another member on the team who has been reading it. “Everyone has a cat like Zeus!” which is true, our Little Miss Dusty Springfield is quite like Zeus. It’s a cute, funny pet comic I think everyone with a big little cat will like.
