Indies offer the most diverse and fearless storytelling among comics, why? Because we can! We are always inspired by the community around us and we want to start recognizing the comics we love to read.

Formula of a Light year Creator: ClabeTickel
What we know: Sam, a high school junior miraculously wakes up a month into his devastating coma. A lot has happened while he was gone and now he has to confront the new problems his family and friends are facing; and also uncover the mysteries of his new powers? Warning : Graphic Violence (Bi-Weekly upload on Friday) –
What we love: This comic has a compelling concept and a mystery-filled story with plenty of promise. It grows stronger with each episode, and overall, I really enjoyed it. Let’s help it reach its first 50 subscribers, so head over to Webtoon and check it out!
No Saints Nor Poets Creator: Tightrope Press
What we know: After their beloved city of Serena sinks into the dark waters of the lagoon, leaving it half-submerged, a charming two-bit con artist and a disenchanted former priest reinvent themselves as delivery men working on the razor’s edge, bordering between sanctity and blasphemy on their motorized gondolas. As they fight for a brighter future, they soon realize that their past is not too far behind them.
What we love: I discovered this comic on GlobalComix’s Indie Gems list, and it truly lives up to the name. From the artwork to storytelling, a lot of care and talent went into this fantastic queer comic, and it shows. It deserves a spot on many more shelves, so head to GC and add it to yours.
From Hell Creator: Madissn
What we know: Michelle was once normal. Now she’s a dead girl walking, bound to the power of the demon Asmodeus. Chosen to end the world and refusing her fate, she’s hunted by Hell itself. With demons closing in and her humanity slipping, Michelle must fight to survive. Will she ever be normal again, or was she never meant to be saved?
What we love: I binged this comic in one sitting as it’s riveting. Before I knew it, I had caught up on every available episode. With a strong hook, great art, and a story that deserves more attention, this one is well worth reading. Head over to Webtoon and help this spooky comic gain more subscribers!
Bee Man Creator: Mustard Lettuce
What we know: Otto wanted the world’s greatest hero. He got Bee Man. Plagued by anxiety and convinced he’s a failure, Bee Man never expected this visit to change his life. Can a boy fighting for his future help Bee Man find his own?
What we love: This comic is wildly unhinged, and I had a blast reading it. Set in Phoenix, AZ, it fits right in around here, the heat makes us all a little crazy. The art could use some refinement, but it works for a zany, surreal Alt Comix-style story.
